What is NQSA?
The Nuclear Quality Standard Association (NQSA) is a not-for-profit association created in 2011 by Framatome and Bureau Veritas. It brings together the main players in the nuclear industry, including EDF, Orano, Assystem, Tractebel, Afnor Certification and the World Nuclear Association. Its aim is to promote the application of the ISO 19443 standard, an extension of ISO 9001, specifically designed for suppliers to the nuclear industry. The aim of this standard is to reinforce quality control and plant safety throughout the supply chain.
