
Every year, students with a passion for space from all over France and even abroad come together for the annual event dedicated to rockets, Cansat and stratospheric balloons, organised by the CNES (the French Centre for Space Research), in partnership with Planète Sciences.
During the 2024 edition of C’Space, agap2 supported Henri for the launch of his experimental rocket and became a partner in the CanSat competition, a challenge consisting of building a satellite the size of a soda can, dropped from a drone at an altitude of 150 metres, in order to carry out specific scientific and technical experiments.
With its yellow and blue colours, the rocket designed in a year by Henri is around one metre tall and reaches altitudes of between 100 and 300 metres in flight. The aim was to design a rocket that could fly and land vertically on a specific GPS point using parachutes.
As a member of the organising association Planète Sciences, Henri enabled agap2 to become a partner of the CanSat competition. The objective? Successfully fit all the sub-systems in a satellite into a container the size of a soda can. Launched by a drone at an altitude of 150 m, the CanSat must carry out a scientific experiment or technological demonstration and then land safely so that the students can analyse the data collected.
As a member of the jury, agap2 had the honour of awarding a special prize for its favourite entry to the team of students from IPSA for their remarkable project.
The event was an opportunity to meet students from engineering schools and potential customers in the aerospace sector, paving the way for promising future collaborations.
