Pink October: Continuing to work with breast cancer #webinar

A true testimonial to raise awareness

Every year, more than 59,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in France. As part of Pink October, the agapiennes network for female employees organised a webinar to raise awareness among agap2 employees and share practical prevention tools. The discussion covered advances in early detection, new approaches to treatment, recommendations for a healthy lifestyle, and above all an inspiring and authentic testimonial from Laetitia Morin Desanti, a management coach who has herself been through breast cancer.

The challenges of early detection

Early detection is crucial: it increases the chances of cure in 90% of cases. In France, mammograms are free for women aged between 50 and 74, an essential measure for detecting cancer in its early stages. In addition to regular screening, our speaker strongly emphasised the importance of self-palpation as a gesture to be encouraged. It allows women to spot any abnormalities themselves

Prevention and awareness: adopting a healthy lifestyle

"I thought it had nothing to do with me”

Prevention is also based on healthy lifestyle habits. Laetitia Morin Desanti reminded us of the importance of a balanced diet, rich in fruit and vegetables, regular physical exercise, and reducing alcohol and tobacco consumption. Stress and a toxic environment can also be aggravating factors, which is why it is so important to create a calm living environment.

"Continuing to work while ill has not been easy. But with the right support, the right mindset and celebrating every little victory, I’ve managed to move forward.”

Laetitia’s testimonial offered a unique perspective on how to live with illness while pursuing a career. She recounted how she continued to work during her treatments, thanks to an energy management and therapeutic support approach (sophrology, acupuncture, adapted beauty treatments) that enabled her to remain active and positive despite the difficulties.
