Context and key issues

Our client designs and develops displacement, position, and force sensors, as well as inertial systems for various industrial and aerospace markets. In this context, they wanted to redesign an inertial unit that had been in service for over 10 years, while ensuring its full compatibility with aircraft already in operation. The objectives were multiple: cost reduction, performance improvement, increased resilience to high-energy particles, and maintaining 100% interchangeability with the old model.
